ToL #2 09: Black as Ink

Where did the background go? It went to lazyland! Because Anat hates drawing backgrounds, and as you have witnessed, she also sucks at them.

And what’s this? Becker has agreed to hang out??

Also, that shirt, as you might be able to tell from how large it is on Clou, belongs to his knight.

It’s really hard to portray the time period, since I’m not (and I’ll say it time and time again) a history major. Heck, I don’t even have a degree in anything! I went to college, but those were just little 1-year diplomas. Not that they weren’t a ton of work, but they’re hardly a thesis in anything. I am rambling!

Keep drawing the backgrounds! I know they are more work, but they are wonderful!

They are a lot of work, and when I think it is beneficial, I draw them. It’s just that my passion is for character, so I feel that one well-drawn background that sets the scene is more powerful than several poorly drawn backgrounds that will subtract from the scene, you know?
