A couple of my friends played Bravely Default and said that they loved it. Tales of Xillia is pretty good. I downloaded it during winter break and really liked it. It certainly didn’t have any of the cheesy dialogues of many other JRPGs and I thought the way they handled the romance-interest-worship on the part of Jude was very well done and believable for a kid in way over his head and trying to save the world.

I hope things go well for your new job. Also, I wanted to see Altor get in trouble.

      Oh, yeah. Altor’s in trouble.
Yeah, I agree completely about the dialogue in Tales of Xillia– it comes off as honest and reasonable, and that’s not something that a lot of JRPGs do well. When I was listening to the game I realized that it’s that sort of interaction that games like FFXIII were so sorely lacking. The characters of Xillia seem to like each other, and they grow to learn about each other through teasing, strife and actually, you know, talking to each other. They interact like people, not just pawns of the plot.
